During Operation Wet Feet, Shaping Operation 6, at the town of Udarnik, the platoon was in a defensive posture to repel any attacks from the eastern city of Ugoldar. Third Squad Spartans were stationed in the multi-story building center of town to provide a base of fire position from the upper floors to best get 360 degree security on the town. During an attack of multiple enemy BTR’s and flanking infantry, third squad Spartans suffered a mass casualty event alongside second squad Ghosts. While the Squad Medic went to aid Ghosts and the Platoon Medic who were down at the MSR, Private Baker stabilized and provided medical care to approximately 7 soldiers who went unconscious or were injured while the rest of the squad continued providing security and CPR. Throughout the mass casualty event, more waves of infantry were flanking the platoon's Northern side for the remaining 3 soldiers to repel. On his first day as a CLS in Spartans, without a medical box, Private Baker was able to successfully revive all soldiers and provide care to the remaining injured soldiers. This action singlehandedly brought Spartans back to combat effectiveness, ending the mass casualty situation, and allowed for them to return to full 360 security over the town.
