Upon arriving at the unit, PV2 Holmsen quickly integrated into the team, demonstrating an exceptional ability to learn and perform assigned duties with minimal supervision. Despite limited experience, PV2 Holmsen rapidly assumed responsibility for the Combat Lifesaver role and executed it with confidence and accuracy, making few mistakes and becoming a trusted asset during both training and missions. Beyond technical competence, PV2 Holmsen consistently maintained a positive and uplifting attitude, significantly boosting squad morale and cohesion. His enthusiasm, adaptability, and dedication reflect great credit upon himself, the 3rd Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
