For exceptionally meritorious service while serving as the Reserves Warrant Officer In Charge for the 3rd Infantry Division Milsim Unit. Warrant Officer 1 Sevstant displayed outstanding leadership and initiative by completely changing the culture of the Reserves element for the better upon assuming command. Through his constant engagement and technical support, he maintained Reserves stability and retention, keeping a consistent roster of over 10 members for three consecutive months. WO1 Sevstant also fostered subordinate development by assigning a new Team Leader and re-integrated the Reservists into active operations through rigorous communication, event coordination, and technical/mod assistance. Additionally, his innovative proposals to Command Staff shows that he is committed to elevating Reservist training standards, ensuring seamless integration into active duty elements. Furthermore, WO1 Sevstant is constantly communicating with NCOs in the unit to better coordinate Reservist deployment into different platoons and squads. His unwavering devotion to Reserves reflects great credit upon himself, the Reserves element, and the 3rd Infantry Division.

For exceptional skill in aerial flight during Operation Wet Feet: Mission Tugboat. Sevstant’s and Blackwoode’s helicopter came under heavy and accurate small and medium arms fire during a routine reinsert. With no way to defend the helicopter in terms of offensive armament, Sevstant skillfully maneuvered the now heavily damaged helicopter to the nearby FARP while still under fire to safely unload the troops within and deliver vital supplies, thus ensuring that company operations as a whole continued without interruption. Sevstant continued to fly this perilous route multiple times to deliver troops and supplies while delivering accurate callouts on enemy vehicle flanking movements to the forward observers below. Sevstant and Blackwoode have shown extreme levels of bravery and dedication, for this I would like to recommend them for the Air Medal.

DMOS (11B2H - Instructor) - Join Service Commendation Medal (JSCOM); During the months of April and May, WO Sevstant attended multiple courses and OSUTs, consistently stepping up for leadership events within FIG that were not mandatory. WO Sevstant is a key asset within FIG due to his unique approach to teaching and his ability to effectively instruct anyone he encounters. He also leverages his real-world teaching experience to mentor others and assist leadership in developing solutions to complex problems. Since joining FIG in January, WO Sevstant has consistently demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and a willingness to help those in need. His immeasurable patience is admirable and serves as a motivating example for members of the shop and the new PVTs entering the unit. Beginning as an RSO, WO Sevstant quickly transitioned into an instructor role where his talents truly shined. With his recent move to the Reserves, he is unfortunately departing FIG for what is hoped to be a short duration before his return. Nonetheless, WO Sevstant is highly deserving of this award due to the lasting impact he has made on Privates, cadre, leadership, and the unit as a whole, and FIG wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
