During Shaping Operation 4 of Operation Wet Feet, CPL A.Siebens was a key element in the assault, capture and destruction of an enemy Mortar pit that has been an issue for the Platoon for the entire Mission. Directly after the Squad had been given the order to Assault the Mortar Pit, the Squad Leader and two other members of the Team got incapacitated, before the Assault could even really begin. Realizing that the Squad is in a bad position and that the destruction of the Mortar pit is crucial, the CPL continued pushing with the one remaining Person he still had left. He started the Assault, took fire but fought for a position where his Grenadier could engage the enemy better, taking multiple bullets in the and getting incapacitated. After waking back up shortly after, he continued on with the mission to destroy that pit, blowing it up shortly after, rallying the troops and going into the city to clear it of last enemy contacts. During the entire time the CPL maintained radio contact letting Platoon, his Squad Leader and Team members know exactly what was going on so they could get into the fight quicker and more effectively, even while under stress of being outnumbered, injured and taking fire.

During Operation 1 of Operation Wet Feet CPL Siebens was instrumental in the taking of the fortified positions in his capacity as squad medic. While the platoon was suffering from mass casualties, he was left with all the wounded in our squad, no security and enemy fire barely having been pushed off his position. He managed to deal with a small attack on his position and get the entire squad back to combat effectiveness. Without his quick response and hard head.

During Mission Spider in Operation Egyptian Collapse, CPL A.Siebens in the squad Medic role displayed acts of heroism and calm nerves, and aided in saving many lives during multiple mass casualty events during the enemy armour platoons surprise assault on the FOB. Throughout the many waves of friendly casualties, CPL A.Siebens aided in saving the lives of approximately 20 soldiers, always putting others before his own injuries.

Army Achievement Medal W/ V Device - Specialist Anthony Siebens, distinguished himself by outstanding achievement while serving as Squad Medic, 3rd Squad, “Spartans,” during combat operations in Operation Crete near Command Post Scimitar on 10 August 2025. During the high-risk mission to recover three prisoners of war from an embassy compound overrun by Egyptian forces, Specialist Siebens displayed exceptional courage and devotion to duty under enemy fire. When his Squad Leader, Corporal Bills, sustained multiple injuries during the assault, Specialist Siebens immediately maneuvered forward through hostile fire to render lifesaving aid. Despite being under continuous enemy engagement, he stabilized Corporal Bills’ wounds, enabling him to continue leading the squad in the fight. Specialist Siebens then resumed his role in supporting the squad’s advance, treating additional casualties while maintaining situational awareness in the midst of intense combat. His swift medical response and unwavering commitment directly contributed to the squad’s ability to recover all prisoners and successfully exfiltrate to the landing zone. Specialist Siebens’ professionalism, courage, and selfless service reflect great credit upon himself, the 3rd Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
