Army Achievement Medal W/ V Device - Specialist Anthony Siebens, distinguished himself by outstanding achievement while serving as Squad Medic, 3rd Squad, “Spartans,” during combat operations in Operation Crete near Command Post Scimitar on 10 August 2025. During the high-risk mission to recover three prisoners of war from an embassy compound overrun by Egyptian forces, Specialist Siebens displayed exceptional courage and devotion to duty under enemy fire. When his Squad Leader, Corporal Bills, sustained multiple injuries during the assault, Specialist Siebens immediately maneuvered forward through hostile fire to render lifesaving aid. Despite being under continuous enemy engagement, he stabilized Corporal Bills’ wounds, enabling him to continue leading the squad in the fight. Specialist Siebens then resumed his role in supporting the squad’s advance, treating additional casualties while maintaining situational awareness in the midst of intense combat. His swift medical response and unwavering commitment directly contributed to the squad’s ability to recover all prisoners and successfully exfiltrate to the landing zone. Specialist Siebens’ professionalism, courage, and selfless service reflect great credit upon himself, the 3rd Infantry Division, and the United States Army.

For a single act of heroism and skill under enemy fire while serving as a Squad Medic in Company A, 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division during combat operations in support of Operation Egyptian Collapse, Mission Troy, near COP Justice on 29 June 2025. While clearing COP Justice, 2nd and 3rd Squads came under heavy indirect fire that directly impacted and destroyed the building occupied by 2nd Squad, callsign “Ghosts.” Without hesitation, Specialist Siebens exposed himself to enemy fire to render immediate life-saving aid to multiple casualties. During this time, two enemy squads, supported by a main battle tank and multiple BTRs, attempted to breach the COP’s perimeter. Despite the overwhelming enemy force, Specialist Siebens’s calm under fire, medical proficiency, and courage resulted in zero loss of life among friendly forces, resulting in the saving of 8 soldiers, and directly contributed to the platoon's successful defense and mission completion. Specialist Siebens’s actions reflect great credit upon himself, Company A, the 3rd Infantry Division, and the United States Army.

For actions during shaping effort 3, while the entire platoon was taking heavy casualties throughout the valley of hell's gate, the specialist was vital in the success of the mission. He was constantly going from mascas to mascas, doing his absolute best to get everyone up to continue the operation. Without his efforts, we may not have succeeded in capturing the valley.
