To all the dads out there doing the dad life happy Father's Day! While the first organized Father's Day was in 1910 origins tracing back from “Sonora Smart Dodd” from Spokane Washington. It was inspired by her after hearing a sermon at the YMCA about Anna Javis Mother's Day at a church, she told her pastor that fathers should have similar holiday honoring them. Giving her farther who was civil war veteran that raised six children by himself. It did not success initially didn't take and threw out the decades until president Nixion signed a proclamation in 1972 designating the third Sunday in June to honor Father's Day.

While the idea of a day to honors fathers had been around for decades, it took until 1972 for it to be officially recognized as a federal holiday. From Sonora Smart Dodd in 1910 to 1916 President Woodrow Wilison recognized Father's Day and encouraged its observance. In 1924 President Calvin Coolidge urged states to observe Father's Day, 1966 President Lydon B. Johnson issued the first presidents' proclamation honoring fathers, designating the third Saturday in June. Leading up the singing into 1972.

Many believe that the first known Father's Day was held in 1908 in west Virginia, after a tragic coal mine explosion which killed 361 men, most of whom were fathers. Mrs. Dodd suggested that people wear flowers a white to honor a father that was deceased and red rose for fathers that was living. Father's Day complements similar celebrations honoring family members, such as Mother's Day and, in some countries, sibling day, and grandparents' day following the fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. Observed by over hundred countries observing the same week and month and many others celebrating on different days and other ways!
