Reforger was created to test Bohemia Interactives new Enfusion engine and prepare for the highly anticipated Arma 4 that is set to release in 2027. It also brought back Everon, an island from the original game, with updated graphics and environments.
Set in 1989 during the Cold War, the game focuses on American and Soviet forces fighting over the island. It also gives players the freedom to create mods, making the game more than just a military shooter and a home for MILSIM communities.
